Governor Abbott Announces Phase III to Open Texas
Governor Greg Abbott announced the third phase of the State of Texas’ plan to safely open the economy while containing the spread of COVID-19. Under Phase III, effective immediately, all businesses in Texas will be able to operate at up to 50% capacity, with very limited exceptions. Business that previously have been able to operate at 100% capacity may continue to do so, and most outdoor areas are not subject to capacity limits. All businesses and customers should continue to follow minimum standard health protocols laid out by the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS). The below informative protocol will provide you with an insight to our plan of action for continuous communication, secure remote work locations, accessibility to provide our services & maintaining any sensitive information protected.

AWARENESS:  Unified Intermodal Transport Inc. is closely monitoring all communication related to COVID-19.  In doing so, we are able to decide the next course of action.

PREVENTATIVE MEASURES:

Terminal Closure

  • In the event that our Unified office closes, we have company issued & monitored computers that will allow for remote work stations set up with cloud operations, allowing us to continue servicing your loads. We will be closely monitoring both lines of communication, should one line be disrupted with the high level of telecommunication being utilized nationwide.

Truck Breakdown

  • In the case of truck breakdowns, we have service centers that we can reach out to assist and service our trucks to get them back on the road.
  • If we are not able to locate service centers, we have the capacity to send our in-house service technician to assist broken down unit.

Port Closure

Bayport and Barbour’s Cut Terminal – Remain Open

  • Any new information and updates will be provided the fastest way possible. We will assist you in answering and providing real time updates or time sensitive information pertaining to open orders.

PROTECTION

Security

  • Our entire infrastructure is backed up to our physical server and our cloud server daily by our IT Team. They monitor our system to make sure our firewalls are not breached by outside threats.
  • Our IT Team certifies our data is stored correctly and safely. Should errors occur, we are notified immediately, and they begin to correct any underlying issues.

RECOVERY

Once we receive the notification that crisis has ended, our staff and key personnel are advised by the CEO of the company when it is safe to return to the Terminal. Our team will make due diligence to notify our customers that operations are back to normal and fully functional. Please make note, notice will be provided in the order of most sensitive, such as customers with open orders, upcoming LFD, Cut Offs Etc.
